Press & Media
Everything media, podcasts, and event programs need to tell Ella's story — bio, facts, timeline, photos, and contact.
Bio
Two lengths, ready to copy and paste.
Ella Oh is a junior pickleball world champion, US Open champion, and RPM signature athlete from Atlanta, Georgia. A Korean-American member of Korea's junior national team and granddaughter of Korean national tennis champions, she is one of the fastest-rising stories in the world's fastest-growing sport.
Ella Oh picked up a pickleball paddle for the first time in late 2024. Within months she medaled at her first local tournament in Buford, Georgia — and less than two years later she stood at the top of the sport, winning the Girls' 12U Singles title at the PPA World Championships. She followed it with a Masters title playing up in 14U, and a US Open championship in 18U Girls' Doubles — the youngest player ever to win it, at just 11 years old.
Her rise runs deeper than results. Ella is the granddaughter of Korean national tennis champions, a member of Korea's junior national team, and a Korean-American athlete bridging the American pickleball boom and Asia's fast-rising scene. In July 2026 she became the youngest athlete ever to launch a signature paddle with a major brand — the RPM Friction Pro V2 — which sold out in 48 hours. Rooted in faith and family, Ella plays with a simple conviction: for such a time as this.

For writers & producers
Four ways into the story.
Her grandparents were Korean national tennis champions. Two generations later, their granddaughter is a world champion in a sport that barely existed when they competed.
Pickleball is exploding in America and rising fast across Asia. A Korean Junior National Team athlete raised in Atlanta — publishing in four languages — sits exactly at that intersection.
Youngest US Open 18U doubles champion in history, and the youngest athlete ever to launch a signature paddle with a major brand. Both before her 12th birthday.
A family keeping a young phenom grounded while the sport takes notice — competing with joy, rooted in faith: for such a time as this.
